In April 2015, Tapi Carpets established its first store with a bold expansion strategy. With 160 outlets around the country and more than 800 employees, it has now grown into a household name.

During the early stages of startup, Sci-Net was selected to assist Tapi Carpets with its ERP and IT infrastructure. Since then, the Tier-1 Microsoft Gold Partner grew into a crucial addition to the business’s small head office team, integrating backend technologies to boost productivity, cut down on human administration, and keep customers at the forefront of everything the firm does due to enhanced automation and communications.

Significant cuts in administrative time

Partnering with Sci-Net, Tapi Carpets’ 150 home consultants were given access to a flooring measuring solution and automated tool. The client experience has been much improved, and efficiency has increased, saving the carpet giant more than 100 hours per day in administrative work.

During the consultation phase with clients, Tapi home experts are able to offer qualified rates, estimations, and updates. The solution is hassle-free and does away with the need for time-consuming follow-up documentation because it is fully integrated into the Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system.

Thousands of pounds in infrastructure costs are saved.

The results of the collaboration with Sci-Net, according to Tapi Carpets’ Chief Information Officer Jason Turner, are ‘excellent,’ enabling the retailer to progressively build up. Within a few months, a tailored Dynamics NAV cloud-based solution had been developed, possibly saving hundreds of thousands of pounds in infrastructure expenditures.

“Time is precious,” says Jason, “so we collaborated on how we could improve our processes and welcomed an estimating tool that pulls measurements into our system and automates quotes.” It not only helps with the client experience, which is extremely important to us, but it also enhances it. We estimated that we could save 4,500 hours of administrative work in 40 days.

The software we currently use, which is managed by Sci-Net, gives us real-time access to accurate reporting and visibility into our business. It works for every element of our organisation, including supply chain, inventory management, online integrations, and in-store operations.
